Some truths cost more than silence.
Sixty-year-old Irene starts a new life in a Tasmanian riverside town – new friends, a gift shop, romance…
But Irene carries secrets contained in notebooks – messages she wrote to herself while ill and fearing cognitive decline. When her cancer returns, she must decide whether to share the truth she has discovered.
After Irene’s death, her daughter Helen finds her mother’s notebooks and sets out to decipher the cryptic messages. What was Irene hiding?

I literally couldn't put it down. Had me in tears in some parts, and chuckling in others. Absolutely brilliant. Keep writing!
